I don't see how this any different than a guy donating sperm. (Except obvs more painful for the girl!) I honestly think it's great. You could help a couple have a baby. What's wrong with that? And, honestly, it's something I've thought about and I honestly would do it if I could. The procedure is a bitch and you have to prep months in advance. That's what would make it difficult, I think.

I agree. I probably wouldn't do it personally, but I think it can be a good thing for people who want to have children but are unable to without help.

I guess some people find it hard to comprehend because it's kinda in a similar category as surrogacy. Not as extreme, but you get the idea. But people have no probs generally with sperm donation, so idg why people would have probs with egg donation.

How... is that like selling human life? I'm with Ollie, isn't it just like sperm donation? And it's HELPING people who want a child. The slavery comparison sounds like total nonsense to me. I think it's a totally admirable thing to do, although I'm not sure I could do it personally, just because I generally get freaked out about any and all medical procedures/pass out trying to get a thimbleful of blood drawn/etc. But I honestly can't see why people would be AGAINST it.

It's not something I would do, personally, but I think it's very admirable. Women are not the same as men (duh) -- we only get so many eggs whereas guys are pretty much going to get sperm forever. To give up a few of your "personal stash" for another couple is awe-inspiring.

A lot of people argue that it's morally wrong and that it's basically selling human life just as one would a slave

Also, I have difficulty believing this statement.
