Ugh. Group projects suck for exactly that reason. They are fabulous if you've got a great group who's fun to work with, but if you've got someone who just won't or isn't capable of sharing the load then it sucks beyond belief.

In the Real Work place (of which I am a member) you could either do the work yourself or talk to your supervisor and say that you aren't getting the support you need for this job. Plus no one in RL is standing over your shoulder to make sure that it is a group project. And bosses honestly don't care as long as the work gets done. And every boss I've ever had wants to know if someone isn't pulling their weight.
