So I'm not behind, but maybe John and Michelle are!

Sigh, this is true. But if nothing else, I figure we can spend time role-playing among ourselves. I am happy about our cabin. Are you building Hearth Witch?

- I've done nothing on my pirate coat for Devil to Pay

I keep scaling back my sewing. I feel some of this pain. Would you like to borrow the coat I'm using in Cracks? It sort of has the right feel.

Mostly Wood Witch, just starting in Hearth Witch. Everything is so damn expensive, and we have so few CP. It's 15 just for my damn weapon skill, and then 10 more to get another point of Body, and 10 more for the Hearth Witch path in addition to Wood Witch... there go a quarter of my points right there :(

I think I can dig up something from my expansive costume closet to use for Devil to Pay, no worries.

Oh, and let's not forget they raised the cost of Herbalism to 10 *grumblegrumble*... and then I still have to buy recipes, which are all like 5 each! *grumblegrumblegrumble*

I really just want to farm my build out to someone else, because I hate this cost/benefit analysis portion of chargen.

It does seem like Cottington Woods is struggling just a bit, and I know the staff is going through some major stuff right now, so I'm really hoping this all evens out ( ... )

The flavor versus combat competency is tough. We could spar a bit in downtime. I'm sure several people (like me) need practice.

I leaned heavily on flavor and suspect I'll role play unconscious on the ground a lot during combat. I have to get our of my habit of stepping up to the front line.

I'm always up for sparring practice.

My problem is two fold- I've tried playing the healer, and the combat caster, and ranged combat, and I just like the actual melee combat better. It's an enjoyable sport for me. Maybe I should give the other types another chance- different LARP mechanics support different things.

The other part of it is that I get visions of what I imagine my character to be, and I find it very hard to shake. I had an image in my head of Quill almost being like a battle-bot. And I could have redesigned her to be some kind of spell caster or something, but I couldn't shake the battle-bot version of her. So now she's mostly straight up combat.
