I was surprised to look back and see that, before my SWTOR post yesterday, I hadn't posted for several weeks. That is an unusually long gap for me

I had a similar reaction to Fording the River: enjoyed the game, loved my character (Winehouse), wasn't clear why my character was in this game. It was one of those games that felt like maybe the GMs really wanted to be writing a novel -- and I'd sure love to read that novel!
Wow -- you got my Folding the River character. (I played Gerda in the first run.)
I had a similar reaction; very well-written character sheet, no clue what I was actually supposed to be doing in the game. Except maybe hanging around my love interest, who...had better and more important things to be doing than hanging around with me.
Oooh oooh I forgot to mention that! Yes, I am! You know, of course, that I signed up A Turn on the Radiance Rose, but also Midsummer Mischief. I'm excited to make some 1920s garb for these. Hoping to get into Time for Tea and Man in Black before they're closed, too...
Matt was complaining a little about the fact that signups end up at 4pm our time, in the middle of his workday, but then I reminded him that you folks probably have to sign up for Intercon in the middle of the night, and those slots are a *lot* more competitive...
If we are lucky then it's midnight but sometimes it's 0100 and on a school night!
I'm running Rose, Time for Tea (as the cake GM) Marlowe and Collision Imminent.
I'm playing Needful Things, Reading Between the Lines and Dulce et Decorum. I'm taking Friday morning off, or I might do some Ops. I'm trying not to do a lot of Ops this year because Steve needs to establish his authority without me getting in the way. For the first time I won't be running the raffle - yeah!
I'm also playtesting the Maid etc in Sept - have my first draft character (which is a bit edgy hence why I've got it) and it looks fab
Yikes! Sorry to hear about Stephen Brust's health issues. Emma Bull, too. Wish I could contribute, but I've got massive financial crap breathing down my own neck.
