Yes, I know. But I think that definition is used more in the south. Up here in the northeast, we don't use it that way ;)

I first heard "fridge" used in Canada. It definately beats "refrigerator." One person I know still calls it an "icebox". Whatever you call them, I admire people who clean them out regularly. If you ever renouvate your house just make the fridge space big enough so you don't have to empty it and pull it out 4 feet just to get the door open wide enough to get the drawers out. Just another excuse, I know. :-)
