Oh Lis, I'm sure the mom realizes the mistake and it's not a big deal. But I know exactly how you feel. Wouldn't you have loved to see the little boy's face when he opened the girl gift? lol!
Well, certainly an honest mistake, but I know how you feel. Those darn unisex names. *grin* But because it is unisex, they've probably had to deal with that sort of thing before. I know my sister has to deal with it all the time with their daughter, so don't feel too bad.
Too funny. He might just love the gift you bought. When boys come over here....I am always surprised by what they want to play. I remember that E's C always liked R's vacuum cleaner.
V, I know what you mean. M looooves to play with C's dolls, etc as much as he does his horses, trains, etc. Makeup? He's all about it. Dress up? he's right there with her. They were Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty just earlier today. lol!
My brother was the same way. My mom has this picture of him when he was about 2 or 3 years old....he's all dressed up in one of my dance costumes. White with red hearts all over it! It's too funny.
My nephew likes to play with girlie things sometimes, too. LOL Like he loves those toy "vacuum" things, he loves to help my mother water the plants, and he LOVES Dora the Explorer. rotf
It's an honest mistake, and I'm sure the mother will understand.
Aw, Lisa, I'm sorry you feel bad, but I think everyone else is right. With a unisex name and especially since you've never met them, I'm sure it's happened before.
Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I hate feeling like an idiot! I know it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of life, I'm just embarassed. I'll get over it soon enough, though. Thanks for the encouragement!
