My faux pas for the day....
or yesterday, actually.
Last week one of Ch's clients (who is also a friend of his dad's) invited Cl to his child's birthday party this past weekend. Well, actually it was his wife that went by the office and mentioned it to my mom (who works as Ch's legal secretary/office manager/whatever) so she could get our address. Anyway, she wanted to invite Cl since several of the children there would be in her pre-k class this fall and the name on the invitation could go both ways. So, I get a gift for a four year old girl. I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this.
Yes, the party was for their son. Who received a girl gift from Cl.
I was mortified! Ch actually brought her to the party and I stayed home with Michael who was sleeping. When he got home, he just happened to mention something about the little boy. I'm like, WHAT?! I thought it was for a little girl!
Anyway, that's my embarassing moment of the day. I'm going to get a proper gift and call his mom to let him know the confusion this week. Fortunately, everyone is so laid back here and I don't think it's really any big deal and no harm done. I am just really embarassed at being such a nitwit. Way to help my husband's business.
Cl did have a great time at the party though and it was very nice of them to include her to meet some of her classmates.
As for today, we stayed around here today and relaxed after a busy few days with family.
