The next stop after the mud volcanoes was the area Nucu-Bozioru where there are vestiges of an interesting monastic ensemble dug into the caves of the Buzau Mountains. It was hard work getting there, the climb was uncomfortable for a city dweller, office worker like me. What annoyed me the most was seeing the placid cows in the pastures above me.

The whole place looks stunning, they're the sorts of places I love to go to explore and just enjoy being surrounded by green and stone and things. It does look quite serene.

It's a really beautiful place, the mountains always make a huge impression on me too. It's also a bit wild which should be a quality if not for the unpleasantness of bad roads and lack of explanatory signs.
