I read the fic with the cat molestor. blaming the cat for sexual advances... the sick bastard! the rest - I didn't read. I tried the alien fic but it was too boring. The manga names annoy me a lot too. Why would non-Japanese slash writers use Japanese names for their characters? It is just stupid. There are fics where the action takes place in an American high school (yeah, twink/jock fics. very popular. they come in hundreds. always the same formula: little boy abused by uncle/step father/father is bullied at school, but then he gets protection from the good jock against bad jock, good jock fucks little boy) and all characters have crazy manga names.

If an author can't get through a one-line summary without a billion typos, can you imagine what the fic is like? Ouch. And male pregnancy that isn't parody? You've got to be kidding.

Now I have a stupid question: Wtf is lemon and lime? I've been trying to figure it out....

I have a confession: lemon/lime is still a mystery to me too...

I am not a grammer maniac, I make typos myself, lots of, or spell things badly sometimes. Of course I can't be too critical of others. But sometimes some people seem to be so off, you think they don't actually speak English.

I'm not terribly critical about that stuff, especially since a lot of writers aren't native English speakers. I envy people that can write in a language other than their own. And it's the story that matters most. But seriously, if a person just totally can't spell, it's a turn-off! And it's kind of lazy on their part, if they can't be bothered to at least try. That really ruins a fic for me.

I'm gonna have to find out about the lemon/lime. I'm so curious....
