Okay, I found this cool quick reference for all the Chinese Dynasties on Wikipedia. The best is that there's a graphical representation near the bottom of the page as well as the table at the top. Most people don't actually start listing these until the Qin Dynasty (the sixth one down) because they don't actually consider all of China united until

All the photos are gorgeous, but that cloisonne vase is particularly gorgeous.

Rather stuffed full of experience. *laughs*

Our days there were so full! I kind of knew it at a gut level, but actually writing out everything that happened has really brought home how MUCH we had in each day.

And, yes, I highly urge you to click on the Phoenix vase and wander back and forth on the pictures a little. They aren't really done justice in these little thumbnails, and the intricacy of the work the women were doing was just... amazing.
