A Colorado Spring

Apr 15, 2013 17:56

I've been loving the precipitation, lately. The slow fall of snow has been an amazing balm, and it's turned the whole world white. We're supposed to have three nights straight of this, and I can only hope.

We're finally getting the snow we should be getting in March and April... cut for pictures and details. )

cold, snow

How beautiful! *makes grabby hands at snow* Funny how different Colorado weather can be from region to region. In Southern Colorado where I'm at we're having a lovely dust storm with 60+ mph winds. As I was sitting at a stop light my Impala was bouncing all over the place. It looked like I had hydraulics in and was going crazy playing with them. *sighs*

We're in extreme fire danger due to the drought and it's so very dry. I'd love to have around two feet of snow just dump on us right about now :(

So close and yet so far! Yeah! Down south I saw temperatures in the 70's! Tomorrow we should be getting the winds, too, but yeah, it would be great to have precip ALL over this state this spring. There's supposed to be two more systems coming! Tomorrow evening and Wednesday afternoon, too, but they look to be shaping up more like this one, i.e. more water falling to the north than the south.

I'll wish for more rain your way, too!!!

Thanks. We sure could use some moisture! I-25 north and south had to be closed over the weekend between Pueblo and Colorado Springs because of the dust and severely limited visibility :(

We can hope the weather system comes south to give you guys a bit of a break :)

Have fun with your snow! Anatomically correct snowmen are fun to make and even more fun to watch the traffic stop in front of your house for a closer look. XD

XD!! I need to do THAT! *laughs*

I love the rain and snow, especially after last year and how this winter started... it was so dry up until the end of February it was amazing.

I'm grateful for what we can get!
