Saw the last Harry Potter last night. Thought it was very thrilling and quite well done. My least favorite part was the epilogue, but I don't like that in the book, either. And it's not like they could have done the movie without it. I'm sure there are many Potter fans who love it and would bemoan its absence.

Have been doing a Torchwood rewatch ( Read more... )

I saw HP last night too. I'm totally with you on the epilogue. Did you think they looked any older?! Other than their clothes, and Ginny's hairstyle, I thought everyone looked pretty much the same, 19 years later. :P

Yeah, the "aging up" in the epilogue was kind of hilariously bad. Were we really supposed to believe that Ginny had an 11 year-old kid, really? Though, as friends commented, Ron did look disarmingly like a middle-aged man. As did Draco.

I spent most of the epilogue looking at the screen over the top of my glasses so that everything was blurry. My suspension of disbelief was more easily sustained that way. ;D

I have nothing to say about the non-meme stuff you've said here, because...well, we spend way too much time together.

But please, when you are done writing Boy Scout AU and Codename: Hotass, please to write this - And after seeing HP last night I still want to write the story of the Hufflepuff wandmaker. - that would be lovely.

We seriously spend way too much time together. Holy smokes.

I absolutely want to write the story about the Hufflepuff wandmaker. She apprenticed with Ollivander her first few years out of Hogwarts but at the time he was still going strong and wandmaking is a very private, personal art, you know? So she ended up shocking her very wizard family by opening a muggle bakery and spending all of her time in the muggle world. She did it as a petty rebellion but ended up really liking her work. Until, of course, Voldemort kidnapped Ollivander and everyone thought he was dead and she realized that someone needed to continue his practice.

Mostly, though, I want to write it to remind people that Hufflepuffs are awesome. =D
