I'm totally bummed. My guy missed the run off by 50 votes. Not at all what we expected.

So I went to work yesterday then left for a doc's appt at 1. Strep it is. I've now been banned from the office until the earliest Wednesday. I have been cooped up in the house since Thursday evening. Ugh, home sick and miserable, my right tonsil is super swollen. It hurts to swallow. I just want to go buy some proper drugs and go to sleep. I hope this can just cure itself, otherwise off to the doctor on Monday. I should probably not go see Live & Collective Soul tonight.

Alright, so I'm alive. Been busy. My days at work are usually in the 10-12 hour range. August was our highest billed month ever in the history of the company. Our bonus was $650 for the month, and then Tom cut us another check to make it an even $1000. Very nice. My brother got out of rehab on Friday. Talked to him a bit online today, he sounds good. Don't know what else to really say about it. I guess they didn't go with the halfway house type deal, but the intense post-rehab therapy. I hope that he sticks with it. I don't know what the next step is if he doesn't ( Read more... )

I had an awesome weekend. Friday I left work early, got a daquiri, and laid out in the pool and read. Emily came over, we chilled, we talked. New vodka from Absolut goes on sale August 1 - mango and black pepper. I actually tried it tonight at a Tales of the Cocktail event. Smells a bit fruity, goes down nice and smooth (not an overwhelming mango flavor) and the end taste is the pepper instead of the vodka after taste. I really like it ( Read more... )
