Notable events:  Yesterday I was in Purl Soho, where they have a lovely collection of Liberty cotton lawns... at $36/ yard.  There were two women buying cuts of at LEAST 10 different prints, and they had a stack of pre-cut quarter or half-yard pieces as well, which don't go for much of a discount.  I would guess they spend at least $200-$300 on ( Read more... )

Here I am, late again! It was so good -- I really enjoyed the new ground that was being broken, plot-wise, with Cajieri growing up and the trek at the end of the book to meet The Enemy, whose name I can't remember just at the minute. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Hey, in less than a month ... you're doing good! ;-)

I agree about that volume of "Foreigner" ... it's like the first three trilogies, good as they were, were the set-up and background for this, the REAL event. I was thrilled to bits when I hit these volumes and was suddenly being treated to info about the internal workings of the Assassins Guild. And Algini's role in it (those quiet ones are always up to something ***GRIN***).

You'll be glad to know that the new ground continues being broken in the fifth trilogy ... ballistic literary dirt clods flying everywhere! And surprises ... oh, the surprises!
