It will be interesting to see if and how it changes how they react to each other, for sure. Not just next week, but for the rest of the season.

ITA that there has been irreparable damage done to Stefan & Elena's relationship. She will likely forgive him at some point, but what they mean to each other is forever changed.

It was very interesting that she had to ask what that even meant. I'm sure once she processes it, she'll realize that he really & truly will always choose Damon.

Isn't it funny that Damon KILLED Jeremy, and yet the breaking point (the REAL breaking point) for Elena with Stefan is that he didn't care about protecting Jeremy? Oh, ironies, I love thee.

What Stefan did was so deliberate, and to quote someone famous: he will always choose DAMON. Always.

Yes, I long ago decided Stefan's story was about Damon while Damon's story is about Elena, and these are the two epic love stories of the show. Agreed, agreed!

I loved my dysfunctional brothers Salvatore. Damon's pissed that Stefan, once again, saved him and Stefan, despite his words otherwise, wants to protect Damon. What a complex relationship they have.
