The first (and obvious) answer to this prompt popped into my head very quickly. I ended up disqualifying it on the grounds that it wasn't really an entrance (albeit a stroke of genius for the show's creative staff). Good call; I couldn't really think of many character entrances that really hit, but this was definitely one of them.

And, yes, that expression is so very priceless! :)

What makes this SO FABULOUS is that Gina is like a foot taller than Ian. It's just so hilarious that this skinny, short white guy so broke her heart. And I believe her for the backstory--she came to realize how dangerous he was, but that love that she felt at first was real and genuine, and her heartbreak over him being a "walk-away Joe" is totally true. She might have been laying it on a little thick, but it was all based in truth, that's why we swallowed it, and so did Damon, letting down his guard and nearly getting himself dead over it.

Gosh, I did love Bree; it's too bad Damon killed her.

That's right - her backstory was completely believable. The other thing I loved was how she took one look at Damon and Elena and decided they were together. Having an outside character make that supposition speaks volumes about Damon & Elena ;o)

It is a shame that he ripped her heart out.
