Having pants that are frozen and underwear that is frozen... two completely different sensations : )

Be careful on that ice! If there are spots where it hasn't iced over, then most likely there are spots that are thin. Not a good thing.

Pretty neat on the tracks.

I should have taken some other pictures of the river-- for the most part you could see how thick it was frozen, but in less exposed places like under bridges there were thin spots. It was kind of dumb of me, yeah, but in this area the North Branch doesn't get more than about a foot deep unless there's been a lot of rainfall. I will be careful though...

Yeah, there was some of that here too-- you'd think that being quadrupedal would make them a little more surefooted. :) I was out after a light snowfall a few weeks back and followed some tracks, and you could see a spot with the snow brushed away in a place where a raccoon had some trouble squeezing under a fence...
