One for the Welsh speakers among us...

I know that Welsh speakers get used to all sorts of dreadful language errors being seen in public places, caused by nobody bothering to check with a native (or, sometimes, even a semi-competent) speaker.

If you haven't already seen this one, reported by the BBC and currently trending on Facebook, you may well find it amusing...

Talking about "taking the biscuit", to be honest I've come across an even better one (though to be honest I don't remember which way round it was): a sign saying, in Welsh, "pedestrians keep left " and in English "pedestrians keep right". I did wonder whether they were deliberately trying to kill off English speakers.

Diolch. That is one I had not seen before.

(And you're right, these are so common, there's even a slang term for them: "Scymraeg/Scumraeg". See for instance: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/scymraeg/.)
