A bit of translation help...

I was wondering if anybody could help me with an English translation of the Manx 'Jean y chooid share jeh bea as graih', any assistance is appreciated!

I think it's "Make the best of life and love", but I don't know Manx and I'm working from my knowledge of (Munster) Irish. (Word-for-word, "Déan an chuid is fearr de bheatha agus grá", but I'm not sure the idiom carries over.)

It gets the tricky idiomatic part, though. The rest is just three words: bea as graih, literally "life and love." So your guess was exactly right.

Ironically, it was those three words that caused me the most trouble because as looks identical to an Irish preposition and I wasn't sure that bea wasn't cousin to beith "being", so I thought I might be dealing with some sort of small clause.
