02 ☆ Born in space returns to earth

The Tokyo wilderness experience have been, for the most part, pleasant and fun, but one of the things I find most interesting is the exhibition in the Future Museum. The 3-D star projection in the museum's theater looked very real, as if I was really in space, gazing into millions of stars, watching how galaxies form. It gave me a sense of great ( Read more... )

[minor ping!]

I would be interested in seeing this projection, and would volunteer to help bring it up.

This is Paladin's handwriting, isn't it? Thank you for your offer! I've obtained some tools to dismantle the system, but we will probably need some kind of cart for carrying. Odaiba is pretty far from the Elevator point.

Yes, this is Paladin, Stellaris. I've not been down to this Wilderness, so I must take your word for it. But I'd be glad to do the heavy lifting if you'll direct me.

I think if nothing else we should be able to find a cart with the farm or the scavengers.

The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Shall we meet at the first floor elevator? We can go whenever you have the time, of course. I am free all day.

I am so excited!

A foam rubber giant lizard that pours candy? :) [is quite amused by the idea]

Yes! It was bizarre, but interesting.

Although I am uncertain that I completely understand the nature of the object you are referring to, it sounds most interesting. I will gladly lend my assistance.

I have not examined this specific one thoroughly, but it looks like an optical-type star projector. Generally it uses data from space satellite images made into a slide, then by passing light through the slide and a few lenses, the image projected to a large screen will be identical to view from the satellite images.

Right now I already have enough help, but thank you for your offer, Huo. [His handwriting was distinct.]

A thousand pardons; much of what you say is obscure to me. Perhaps I will understand better when I see the device at work - if that will be possible, despite having not assisted in its transport? I shall have to be quicker next time.

Forgive me, perhaps I should be more considerate, knowing several people in the Sphere are from a different world than mine. If you are interested, I would be happy to explain it later with the device in hand. I find that it always helps to be hands-on when studying machinery.

Thank you, 00, but Smoke and Paladin's help is enough. It's not a very large item. But if you want to come to the museum, there are more interesting things. We can meet up in Tokyo.

Shall I bring you the candy tonight? And to see the sock monster.

Odaiba island, at the Tokyo Bay. But don't worry if you are still unfit, I am currently out with Smoke and Paladin to bring the projector back here.

Let me know how that goes, yes? I think it is important.
