When I first started sharing my art online, I had one blog for the art and my personal posts. It worked for a while, until my interests were not solely restricted to one fandom anymore. So I started another blog for my personal stuff, the fandom blog returned to being what it was intended to be... until I felt that I had finally lost all interest

Is the choice of your icon in any way related to that last statement?

Well, the idea has been growing in my brains ever since the Elves stopped banging on my door... I feel silly now for choosing a username that's so obviously related to one fandom. I think I'll turn menegroth into a open diary of some sorts (if I can't bring myself to give it up completely, that is) and mainly use this place for anything creativity-related.

Now to decide where such things as book recs, historical and Navy related questions and somewhat inspirational poems/songs etc. should go... Any advice on that? Would you want to see that kind of stuff around here?

And I think I'll cross-post to the communities from here as well from now on.

I think I will post everything related to art, fandom, fic and book recommendations as well as my drawings (which will eventually go up on the site) here, thus making lineae an interactive extension of my website -
and keep menegroth for purely private stuff. Memes, rants and news about my life go there, so that I'll be able to separate the two cleanly. That way it'll be easier for people to chose which LJ to friend, depending on what they're interested in.

I guess that would make the most sense, since I always at least try to KISS. ;) Sound sensible?

Well, as I have been 'stalking' you since your LotR days (I still have that Cirdan/Celeborn picture you did, seriously, and I still love it), and our fandom interests seem to run parallel, of course I must add you to my f-list! Any day that I find pretty art on my friends' page is a lovely day indeed, particularly if it's somehow related to gorgeous naval officers.

Plus, you work in watercolour, something that I fail epically at and worship those who can pull off. O_O
