Ira Glass (born March 3, 1959) is a public radio personality, best known as host and producer of the radio show This American Life. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he is the son of radio announcer/accountant Barry Glass and psychologist/infidelity researcher Shirley Glass. He married Chicago editor Anaheed Alani in August, 2005. He is a second cousin to the composer Philip Glass. He attended Northwestern University but became frustrated with students who were "only interested in getting graduate degrees and making money," and shortly thereafter transferred to Brown University, where he majored in semiotics. HIS HOBBIES INCLUDE WINE TASTING, CHEESE MAKING, AND WORKING ON A MYSPACE PAGE THAT WILL MAKE HIM PROUD.
Throughout his life Ira has made no secret of polygamist leanings and recently announced his intentions of bringing Jaime Calder into his web of wives.
i'm so jealous of your picture with him. like... if i didn't love you so much... i'd let you walk out of the ladies' room with your skirt tucked into your underwear. over that picture of you and ira glass together.
please realize that leading up to that picture: 1. i sat in a veritable ARMADA OF CHILDREN. 2. i sat in a veritable ARMADA OF CHILDREN, watching the movie "Unaccompanied Minors". 3. i sat in a veritable ARMADA OF CHILDREN, watching the movie "Unaccompanied Minors", wearing a shirt i had just made reading "WHAT UP IRA", which ira most most definately saw and GLARED AT. 4. i'm pretty sure ira saw me steal the salt shaker from the concession stand.
