I'm still not sure that I have any real legal grounds for complaint, and if I do, I've little chance of winning a court judgment since I don't really have witnesses or evidence. Probably not worth the court fees or time. But I think I will call the store and talk to them again, and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if their response doesn't satisfy me.
