I actually didn't mind Asylum too much- there were bits of it I found enjoyable, and Oswin's door opening powers can be explained away with the fact that Daleks operate on a telepathic field (which is how they must open doors since they don't have hands

Having spent several days distancing myself from immediate reactions, I'd have to agree with most of what you said, especially about the Daleks. Although I feel that every time they come up in Doctor Who it's like a 'But Wait, There's More!' moment. Still slightly miffed about the title sequence change, but I'm looking forward to how it looks for each episode. Could be pretty cool.

Yeah, the thing about Dinosaurs was that the bad guy was pretty bad. And there weren't any other options, but it was still a little horrible.
