Thank you scientists for just raising my property taxes.
I think I just heard everyone brain come to a gut wrenching halt after that, eh?
Let me explain. No there is too much, let me sum up:
Every school district across the country will have to replace all their science books that mention Pluto as a planet. As this will be very expensive, just about every school board of directors is now salivating over being able to issue a referendum for more property tax money to pay for said books.
Yeah, but... an equally valid scientific alternative, to classify any or all of the four previously mentioned trans-Neptunic objects as planets, will still result in
revised books
salivating boards of directors, and
higher taxes.
I don't particularly feel that maintaining the status quo was scientifically tenable, so no matter what I advocate, taxes are going to go up.
But let's face it, taxes are going to go up anyway.
after much discussion on this subject and the decision that, yes, taxes are going up; I propose only one small change for the scientists to make. Dwarf is a rather harsh word and poor pluto should not be picked on its size. I suggest a "Limited mass planet" for pluto can only go with what it's got. Thank you.
