The well pump's been broken since Friday. No water. It's easy to take water for granted until it doesn't come out of the faucet. (I've spent a lot of time the last few days thinking about women all over the world hauling water for miles each day.) The repairs may happen today, maybe tomorrow. I've got several Harrison books in my personal library. Only read the first, and I read slowly, so I'll get to the others eventually. But I know I'll love them like I did the first. Harrison has surprising wit, and making me laugh is a sure way for an author to win me as a reader.
By the way, we're closer now - I just moved to Batavia 3 weeks ago (S&R of course went to Maryland). Still no job though :(
