After enduring the longest January on record, I barely made it into February and came down with a cold/flu/virus that landed in my lungs and held on for a full two weeks before even letting up enough to make me feel like I might actually be able to breathe again. So, what started as a snarky little status update on Twitter/Facebook is swiftly becoming the battle cry that I hope will propel me through the remaining week of January 2010.

Okay, so it's been a while.
I'll admit it: Facebook and Twitter have overtaken my blogging needs with their slick and shiny interfaces offering immediate gratification from "likes" and other such nonsense.
Still, LJ is here, pining quietly away for me to return and pay some attention.
No better reason than to share some pix from our trip to Kauai.

Getting ready for Paradise
I spent the day yesterday out at Paradise helping set up our camp. I didn't really do very much, but it was nice to spent some time with tulebast and (eventually) mztea . I left feeling very much like I wanted to just stay there, but that will have to wait for tomorrow.
Today I am at home, cleaning, sorting & packing up our gear.
