Here's hoping that doing this meme inspires me to start working on something. Leaving out fics that I haven't finished since the last time I posted WIPs. ::hangs head:: Encouragement, suggestions, and advice are most welcome.
Thanks honey. I'm just in a slump. I have ideas but no real desire to do anything with them. I've been reading in other fandoms and watching other shows lately and I think that makes it more difficult to write in my fandoms. Perhaps popping in my Stargate DVDs would help.
I know the feeling. I have so many ideas and even odd scenes and odd pages of writing... and I'm just feeling totally blah about it all.
theemdash sometimes sets little challenges: you meet on IM, then *go* writing for an agreed length of time, then share it and/or talk about it.
Maybe we need something like that? Are you still YIMing?
And yes, I think different fandoms can be a huge distraction. But does it help to know that people want to read?
(e.g. I have much more support and enthusiasm behind me in TMNT-dom - in which my interest has almost tailed off - than I do in Stargate - due to the natures of the fandoms/people. I am only going to finish my TMNT WIPs because of those people. I want to write - for them. You know?)

Hmm, the thing with the character study was a response to the prompt 'swings' but it's not more than posted.
Where do you think it's going? Just a vingette on his childhood? Or is it a flashback that relates to Atlantis somehow? Hmmmm.....

Just posting support and eagerness for *anything* you write. I'm missing you on LJ, hon.
Can I do anything? YIM sounding board? Cheerleading? Alpha reader? Beta reader?
