There will always be a ship named Prometheus. In my opinion, a bad name, considering what happened to the first one!

Let's not forget the Prometheus from Macross (and they kept the name in Robotech too). It was an aircraft carrier that got space folded with the SDF-1, All hands lost. it was then attached to the SDF-1 with the Daedalus.
