Ironically, about an hour ago my hard drive completely crashed. Fortunately, I have this new one sitting here that came in the new computer, so I have to set it up. Unfortunately, I think I lost of LOT of documents and work--thank God most of it is in a cloud somewhere. But now I have to somehow get Adobe Pro again which is like $600, and a Photoshop alternative. And THANK GOD I managed to save most of my writing!
But now, for it to be readable, I need to buy Scrivener again. *sigh*
Do you have any local friends that are grad students who can help you get the software for discounted rates? The "student editions" aren't any different, as I can tell. Have you heard about the Adobe Creative Cloud, their monthly subscription service that gives you access to all of their software?
No I don't have any grad student friends that I know of.
Right now, it's looking like I have to drop about $1K on software to be fully functional again. I use all that stuff for work, and one I have to get before I leave because I start a new job on Monday. (Yes, I'm going to be that girl walking around Disney World with her laptop.) I need to get Microsoft Office tomorrow. Which sucks. That's $120 I wasn't intending on spending until I got to Disney World.
I did get your leg warmers off my list (and off the needles). I apologize in advance that they're not made of something machine washable. I'll tuck in a note with care instructions.
I love Facebook games too. They're just mindless fun! Did you hear about the new SimCity title that is coming out soon?
I did hear about the new SimCity. I wonder if they'll make it for Mac. If it has a sandbox mode I'll look into it, but usually Sim City is too hard for me!
I'm looking forward to seeing the leg warmers. I don't usually wash them anyway so I'm sure the material will be fine. :)

Congrats on all your yoga stuff. I love seeing the photos and hearing about how determined you are and how many neat things you're getting to do.
I wonder what the real story is on "singing like an angel"? I liked listening to you sing here and there when I visited you, though. :)
