This car shopping thing really stinks. Today was better then the past few, though. My Dad and I went out to 3 or 4 small dealerships in Greece. At one I found 2 Dodge Neon’s that I liked. One was really nice…98 or 99 maybe? The body looked really nice, and it was in my price range. But it didn’t have A/C or cruise. I could live without A/C, ( Read more... )

I drive a Mirage.
It's not a baaaad car, but it's not great.
I've had to have some work done on mine, but it's also a 95.

great, now I get to ask you questions!
what kinda of gas mileage does yours get? I was researching online and I guess it's only supposed to get like 25-27 gallons per highway mile. which is pretty good. also, what kind of work have you had done to it? I remember in one of your recent entries you said something about getting new tires that were bigger, which made it drive better.

I'm hoping that if I don't find anything better than the mirage I can talk my parents into fronting me the money to afford it, and I'll pay them back when I get the money. They really liked the mirage too, and my mom was talking about it the whole way home, which is good since she isn't 100% for me getting a car.

thanks for your input =) I really appreciate it!

I'm not positive about the gas mileage, I just know that my car is really good on gas. I filled it last Tuesday, drove to and from school every weekday and it's just now right above a half tank. And my drive to school is highway all the way, and I tend to speed...which wastes gas.

I had to have a special pipe welded for my exhaust, because apparently someone along the way had put the wrong pipe on, so I was having a lot of trouble with that. Other than that, it's all been really minor things, I had a fuel pump replaced...and some spark plugs. Also my automatic gear shifter is a little messed up, but it's not a major problem. Haven't had to put any real major money into it, replacing the tires was probably the most expensive thing.

Keep in mind my car is six years older than the one you're looking at. I'm sure it would be a good car :)
