Ahh, the Saturn - it will fuck up, but not kill you!(Lola's brakes completely failed in traffic a few months ago. However, she did it near a parking lot which she happily coasted into. What a good little plastic Methuselah!)
its amusing to look back on, but at the time i was shaking so bad i could hardly put my foot on the pedals.
here's a funny tip that my dad taught me a long time ago- i just never used it so i forgot about it until now- if the brakes go out, you can TRY using the emergency brake... it will most likely slow you down at a very slow rate, not stop you entirely, and you have to pull it up slowly, not just yank it up
stupid question: what year is lola and how many miles does she have on her?
She's a '93. Her odometer stopped working at 75k in 1998. I believe she's got to be up to 150k or more by now (many, many trips from Middleburg to Kingsley, from here to Pomona Park, and so on).
i'm attempting to gauge how long my poor little car has left. i know saturns are good cars and i've seen older ones on the road, but i'm always curious as to how many miles they have on them....
