After checking up on some things at the library, getting caught by Dean on his way back, and being force-fed enough chicken soup to last him the whole day, Sam was ready to go back to his room and just collapse in bed.
Of course, finding Dawn there when he opened the door meant that his plan shifted from 'curl up on the bed like a pathetic child' to 'act manly and not sick at all.'

"Hi," Dawn said, ending her brooding contemplation of the ceiling again and trying not to look too concerned, "There's tea and gingersnaps on your nightstand, y'know, in case you're not feeling well or anything if you might want tea and cookies."
Weiss hrugged. "I dunno. I saw your sign on the common room door the other day. Are apocalypes a big thing in your world? If so, I'd ask for a new world."
"Kind of a yearly event," Dawn leaned against the doorframe, arms folded. "It's a little early for it, and we didn't find anything either, so I wouldn't worry."
Dawn opened the door, a little surprised by how busy it had been that day. "Dean! You're here for Sam, I assume?" She pointed to the bed. "Over there."
Dean grinned. "Yeah. Unless you're coming down with what he's got in which case you can probably use this stuff too," he said hefting the plastic bag he was carrying.
