Your Iruka kicks my ass all around town and I love it. I also love Kakashi's justification to stay and wait for him to come out of surgery. It's touching and extremely insightful.

Thank you! The reason I waited so long to post this was how unsure I am about Kakashi's characterization... on the one hand, this is the guy *I* see in canon, but most authors seem to see him as kind of cold hearted, at least at first.

OH, man. That was epic.
I just KNEW when Iruka was being attacked that it had something to do whith whatever happened to him. Which is vague, but you know what I mean.

Great update. I am really enjoying this story. Nice to see Kakashi and Iruka interacting and glad to Tsunade is clued into what's going on. I also like that you're going to not give away Iruka's secrets too quickly :) nice job building up the anticipation!
