Mpreg has always been an item on my squick list. I can't believe I'd draw mpreg one day.
Part of the reason I don't find mpreg appeal to me is that I see pregnancy as purely biological: the idea of men having period doesn't work for me at all, you know what I mean.
Perhaps what I've missed out is the emotional part - the part about building a loving family, about sacrificing personal need for the children, finding happiness through the process of bringing them up.
But that's not what draws me to liking m/m slash. In fact, it just might be the opposite.
So I was going through fics at
hd_inspired the other day. Haven't really read much mpreg in my fandom life, I found myself discovering a whole new territory, and enjoying fics which I would have missed otherwise. I don't think I'm now fulling into mpreg, but I guess I might have gained a little bit insight of what makes mpreg appealing.
As for this piece of art, I have mixed feelings toward it. On one hand, I like the way Harry laid his head on Draco's belly. On the other hand, I find it slightly repulsive to see Draco having a belly, probably because it defies my logic. (I'm repulsed by my own art, good heavens. I can even remotely hear Draco swearing at me.) But it's minor, and overall I very much enjoyed drawing it.
And here's the

I usually do a watercolor painting within a day and try to finish it "in one go", as I find it produce the best result. This one I spent an hour every morning and got it done in five days. It would have been better if done otherwise, but regrettably I got to go to work on weekdays.
If I ever got pregnant, I would spend all my maternity leave making art, in the hope to (1) educate my child and (2) put the excess hormone into good use.
