oh, this was wonderful! You really capture the vulnerability beneath Lilah's perfectly lacquered exterior. I love how everything about her here is such an exaggeration -the smacking on a smirk, the emphasis on lover at the end. All that angular pose, all that snark, just to keep the feeling at bay. (Not that she can, of course.)
And, god, this line is just perfect: "And she’d open just like that for him, take any insult, caress or order, because she liked the rough with the smooth." So very Lilah.
Thank you so much! I should send you music more often. ;)
Thanks! I'm really glad you liked it! :) All that angular pose, all that snark, just to keep the feeling at bay. (Not that she can, of course.) Yes, exactly. That's what I love so much about Lilah, how everyone sees this terribly hard woman, and yet there's vulnerability there, and Wes is somehow able to draw it out. And, god, this line is just perfect: "And she’d open just like that for him, take any insult, caress or order, because she liked the rough with the smooth." So very Lilah. Cool :) Thank you so much! I should send you music more often. ;) You so should ;) Btw, did you get the title? It's put together from the lyrics of the 1st song, which I really love, especially the drums.
I did get the title. I think I probably know almost every Throwing Muses song by heart by now. Yeah, I'm a little obsessive about them. (Although not as obsessive as some!
I heart Dave Narcizo (drummer). He made a really great set of short films set to his music a couple of years ago, but aside from the occasional Muses tour, I have no idea what he's up to these days!

Of course you do :) He made a really great set of short films set to his music a couple of years ago, but aside from the occasional Muses tour, I have no idea what he's up to these days! It's always the drummers that seem to get the rough end of the stick somehow.
This? Is just plain *brilliant*. I could quote the whole piece back to you as parts I particularly liked, but the vision of Lilah's hell is gorgeously dark in a way that only Wolfram & Hart could devise.
I *will* quote two very favorite bits:
They never made love. But they always did.
Wes/Lilah in a nutshell, and phrased so beautifully.
Thank you so much, you cheered me up, with your lovely feedback. I kinda just wrote this in my head as I was walking home, so it's weird that people have enjoyed it so much! but the vision of Lilah's hell is gorgeously dark in a way that only Wolfram & Hart could devise. I guess W&H would know exactly how to torture people, (like that scene with Angel and Holland Manners in Season 2 where HM reveals 'hell' to Angel) and for Lilah that would be monotony, lack of action and attention, I guess. Although, I get all excited to think about Lilah and Wes together in hell... ;) I liked those two lines too, although I was wondering if the 1st was a little OTT. Thank goodness for f-back, cos now I know it works. Thanks again.
This was just wonderful. Not able to formulate my impressed-ness into any kind of 'proper' feedback at the moment, but I really, really loved this. You write Lilah to perfection!
(Impish Girl thought we should name the baby 'Lilah' if it's a girl. Now I'm left wondering where on earth she's heard the name?) (Not from me I should add - honestly!)
That is a wonderful icon. It takes me right back to Home and how charming and chivalric he was in that episode! :) You write Lilah to perfection! Thanks. I have no idea why! But I like her. I guess she's a bit like Spike, misunderstood. Oh my goodness, would you really name the baby Lilah? I would never forget it then :) And where on earth has she heard the name? That's very Twilight Zone!
Love that whole ending paragraph. I like the idea for the fic, too. Makes me think of all that time spent in airports for someone to arrive, that sort of restless, artificial time before the big emotional (or anticlimactic) moment.
Makes me think of all that time spent in airports Yes, that's exactly it. Waiting for something, you're not quite sure what, but when it does arrive, it's all a mad panic. I like the idea for the fic, too. I think maybe there's endless possibilities for post-NFA Weslah ::hides::
Thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate it. I love the idea of Lilah welcoming Wes to hell. Oh me too. Absolutely. In fact probably too much! I've started a semi-series from the darker_wesley prompts with basically this setting in mind ;) I hope you don't mind me asking, but where on earth did you find this? :)
Where did I find your story? It must have probably rec'ced/linked from somewhere, but I don't know where (when I'm in the mood for fan fic, I sort of end up everywhere). I'm sorry.
Well, I'm very glad you stumbled here! :) I was just curious to know that was all, because I don't remember it being linked myself. But no matter if you can't remember.

Oh, *ouch* - but oh, bravo!

It is extremely unlikely. But it *would* be easy to remember...
