I think that that may be one of the best Torchwood character studies I've read!

I really enjoyed "A Doll's House" when we studied it, and I love Ibsen's female characters in general for their strength. So it's about time Ianto came to his own as an "Ibsen's woman" :P

To tell the truth, I was apprehensive about the reception of the concept and the link to Ibsen, but I'm glad it worked for you.

Thank you!

...I want a Captain John icon too. After writing this, I think I've developed a thing for him.

(OTPs our icons :P)

Inspired by A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen.

The literary nerd inside of me exploded with sheer joy when I read that. Besides that, it was very good. I'm not great at writing reviews, so I suppose I should just stress to you how very little I ever comment. Therefore me actually commenting says a lot in my books. Although perhaps I don't agree with every little detail of Ianto's personality in your story, some parts felt so incredibly real and in character that it was easy to accept. Also, it is always interesting seeing something from someone else's point of view. It made for a very interesting and enjoyable read!

Yes! *embraces your inner literary nerd* Thank you so much for commenting.

I'm actually glad that you don't agree with some details, since character interpretations should be fluid, right?

Right. Also, since it is fiction, it is hard to completely discount anyone's opinion. You could be right, I could be right. It's all about how people see things differently.

And it's no problem, really. I always tell myself I should comment more often.

lovely, lovely lovely... I can't say it enough. I really enjoyed it, the characters are fantastic and SO in character.
only one tiny little thing I noticed, you mention thanksgiving, well, in England there is no thanksgiving as that is a very American holiday, it hardly matters and didn't really bother me when reading 'cause the rest was just so bloody fantastic, but I thought I'm mention it :)

Oops >_> But thanks for pointing that out.

Then do you know any holidays I can replace that with? It'd would be a great help!
