More pictures from Amish Country

Aside from our trip to the land of the Amish this past weekend, life's pretty slow (except for work). I guess that's a good thing. I stayed up too late last night watching "Flipping Out." It's like a car wreck. But more on that later.

Off to Amish country. Breathe that fresh air with me:

Love the photos! The McD's one is so ironic. The photo of your hubby in the AM is priceless. :D

Looks like it was a fun trip! I would love to do that some day.

Thankee! It was a great trip. I think I still have some of that vacation "afterglow". I'm trying to hang onto it as long as possible.

Quit watching the house porn. It isn't good for you.

I got quite a chuckle over the Atlanta episodes of "Flip this House" getting pulled because the featured flipper there was arrested for fraud.

"Flipping Out" was just damn funny. The lead investor guy is CRAZY. We had a great time watching that show. It wasn't discouraging because these folks may as well live on Mars for as much similarity as their lives have to ours.

OMG, the featured flipper getting yanked for fraud, that *is* funny.

Don't worry, I'm not about to become a flipper.

I think Bravo is a bit irresponsible in that their reality shows seem to encourage consumer debt and parent company GE now makes most of their money from ... debt, consumer and other types.

I've been through the mortgage records for my neighborhood, and everyone who has decorated to "House Beautiful" standards went into debt to do it. No exceptions. The downside is that, with the popping of the bubble, all of those people are in houses worth at least $75k less than they owe.

Online county records in Florida are a beautiful thing.

Glad to see that you, at least apparently, had a relaxing weekend. I love taking pics of food too.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes food pictures. I always feel like an incredible dork when I do these!

He had a good time too, just needed coffee and more time to wake up ;)

Books books books. Yes, we even looked up the local Borders for when we got "tired of all the Amish stuff" (translation: after 5 p.m. when it all closes).

I'm glad you made it to the Green Dragon--that's still my favorite place to shop, ever. Many's the hour I've spent in that book stall, too. Just down the hall from it is a place that sells the BEST sausage sandwiches ever. They drip with grilled onions and tomato sauce. I made my parents drive me from Hershey out to Ephrata for one of those sausages, lol.

Sausage!!!! I think we got there too early, in fact, for the market. We puttered around a couple of buildings then went on our way. We did get a cookie cutter shaped like a star for only 60 cents though.

Thanks for the recommend!
