      OK, my last post was awful. I really shouldn't have posted so late at night. I only meant to say I'm happy things are good! Instead it turned into a discussion on the value of history. I know that I am not the only one in my group involved in history or writing and I hope my endless harping on these things has not offended anyone. A friend

I suppose I really ought to read more about second-generation biofuel crops, but from what I've picked up from my biology and ecology courses is that non-native plants are usually a bad thing for an ecosystem. Of course I don't know much of anything about biofuel crops (despite having made biofuel in my organic chem class...)

Yeah, I kind of understood that there has to be some sort of weed-like plant in each area that would be suitable. If they were native it shouldn't be a problem, right? But I could have been reading it wrong. Maybe only certain weeds are suitable. But maybe they could be grown in areas where they are native and used to supply biofuel everywhere. I don't know - I guess it's something I need more information on.
