I knew the moment Dean shoved Ben last week it was over...his chances of a normal apple pie in the sky life with Lisa were over. She wouldn't accept that and I think his reaction to Sam at the end....beating the holy shit out of him was a collimation of ALL his feelings...the having no one tell him Sam was alive for a year....the fact that when he finally gets Sam back, he's no longer Sam...the Vamp incident....losing Lisa and Ben....so yeah...loved the ending.
THIS may have sparked my dying interest in this season. I'm rather excited for next week!
D: IKR POOR DEAN - just seeing on his goddamn face and omg i'm so excited for cas to come back next episode because i'm really fucking excited
HAHAHAHA MY FRIEND SAID THE SAME THING. She was like, "Glad this season's finally become interesting." I'm glad it's sparking everyone's interest again! I mean, I'm easy to please, so I'm cool with it all around, but now I'm super excited!
Yeah for the first time EVER in Supernatural, I was only "listening" to the episodes, I wasn't really watching because I was just so bored...it just didn't feel like SPN anymore...THIS felt like SPN!
Hmn, see, I think the storyline was guessed at already so the whole reveal fell flat for me, but I mean I am always excited to see what they add onto the canon universe and the possibilities? Like the whole Heaven civil war really got my interest, as well as hearing the backstories for a couple of the monsters (although the vampire one was stupid uuuugh).
:D I'm glad you enjoyed them, bb! I usually just make them because something hilarious happened/someone looks hot as all get out, and this is only the third time I've shared them?
Haha, my commentary is usually dull, thank you for actually reading it! :9 I derp around a lot in comments, but I do give quite a bit of thought process into these episodes. I'm sad that it came to this, because even though I hate the Lisa arc because I think it's predictable and weighs the story down, I know that Lisa and Ben were the only tethers Dean had left. Now that they're cut, he's really only got Cas and Bobby left, and both of them aren't as close as they once were. I'm glad that Lisa chose what was right, but I'm sad to see Dean basically lost. D: POOR BBS.
I don't think of him as evil, I think you're right; he's just more of a sociopath now. I think for him, the ends justify the means, and whatever he can do to manipulate the situation into ultimately working for him, he'll do. It's not evil, it just seems that way. OMG I KNOW IT'S SO FUCKED UP

Well, if I thought like Dean, my thought process would kind of go like this:
- My brother let me become a vampire. - He couldn't keep a hold on me. - He knew I would be putting people at risk if I couldn't be contained. - The only other people close to me are Lisa and Ben. - I was obviously freaked out, and I was going to gravitate towards people I trust.
I'm not saying that it's a correct thought process, but do remember Dean does say, "I could have killed Ben," to Sam, and there is an accusatory tone in that. Dean probably thought, 'I could have killed Ben -> You couldn't keep me from escaping -> It's your fault I was turned in the first place, otherwise I wouldn't have even been in that position.'
Does that make more sense? I'm not saying that Sam intentionally did that, I'm saying that Dean wouldn't have brought it up in that moment if he didn't somewhat blame Sam for what happened at Lisa's.
Oh, right. Yeah, I get that Dean might've thought something like that. Though blaming Sam for his own stupid action isn't really fair. He could've just used the phone and called Lisa instead of going to her and putting her at risk. (Funny how a day's drive to Lisa's suddenly became less than an hour in that episode. ^_^)
I FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO WATCH THE EPISODE BECAUSE I'M STUPID AND I CAN'T STAY AWAKE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS. srsly third week in a row i missed the episode because i was sleeping
what I really enjoy is that it does get a rise out of Cas, that Cas is obviously affected by last year's events and that he's not turned back into what he was at season four. THIS X 1000000! I was so scared they were going to retcon everything about him growing more human.
I'm so glad that Lisa was like, "Hello, you damaged my goddamn kid, and that's not acceptable." No doubt she loves Dean, but I'm glad that her child comes first because damn right he should. YES. Although I don't get why he can't tell Lisa he was turning into a vampire. I guess because it still would have gotten him kicked out because that was still endangering Ben?
Jensen is so good at showing that Dean really is completely at mercy to his emotions at this point. Dean's just so tired and angry and upset and inside it's a huge fuckin' mess.OH GOD YES. I cannot agree with this more. UGH WHY
