so this weekend was cool. oberlin is a really nice campus, all these old buildings from like 1800s and 1900s, as well as a 3 year old science building that cost $65 million to build. all the buildings are really pretty though. but its so tiny, and downtown is across the street and it consists of a block and a half. only 2800 ppl in the college. too ( Read more... )

econ paper is done and turned in! yay!

its supposed to rain and have thunderstorms on friday and possibly snow saturday and sunday in oberlin. yay, winter time again!

my ipod mini came today. its silver and tiny. the price tag on it for the ucsd bookstore says $179..i thought they were supposed to be 150. maybe i will bring it to the mac store and trade it for stuff...though i dont know how to spend that much there. too bad i dont use macs, then it could go towards buying a computer for college ( Read more... )

college visiting at ucla and ucsd was awesome. ucsd did a good sales job and almost had me wondering which school i'd rather go to...then i realized it was a sales job and at ucla they had an actual school day and not all the applicants coming in the same day with all the clubs out and lots of people and presentations and fun stuff. the day was ( Read more... )

hard to explain an awesome week in a little journal thing. like,it was just the whole trip in general that made it so great. theres also the little memorable stories but they just pop into my head whenever. kyle has a good description of the trip. but it was really fun hanging out there, skiing, snowball fights, getting hot chocolate and ice cream ( Read more... )

first, the okay news: i got waitlisted at tufts.

the good news: i got into cal and got a $5000 per year scholarship at oberlin!!
