It seems like this day and age, everyone is insecure. The thing you have to do is say to yourself "What do I love most about myself?" & when you find that answer, embrace it and love it like its the only thing you've got AND THEN everything else will fall into place.
I know you won't believe people when they tell you that you're beautiful BUT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
As far as your family, I can't necessarily relate to the sister because my sis is supportive YET judgemental(another story) but I can understand what you're talking about with your father.I don't know how to handle verbal scolding very well but you should call me if you need to talk to me.
