Eva came out of her bedroom with a yawn, wearing pajama bottoms and a white tank top. As she saw Mickey, she jumped and let out a scream.

Now this wasn't right in the slightest.

He was relatively sure that the woman he had slept with that night had a desk job nine-to-five, and that she lived alone. In fact, she pretty much gloated about that when she thought she had to convince him to go home with her. So who this strange woman was, he wasn't sure, but he was sure that this was bad.

And she needed to stop screaming. So any chance he had of passing himself as a civilian was going out the window. He blurred his way over and placed a gloved hand over her mouth and a finger to his lips.

"Shhhhhh -- this isn't what it looks like."

Eva couldn't believe what she'd just seen. How did he--? Whatever he was, it got her to stop screaming.

"Thank you," he said with a small smile, as he removed the hand from her mouth. "I believe we have a -- small -- misunderstanding, and I just let myself into the wrong apartment. So, if you'll excuse me, I'll just -- let myself right back out again."

He turned on his heels and started to back towards the front door of the apartment, giving her the most amiable smile he could as he went. He needed a cover story as to why he was breaking into the apartment that he was, and it was just a matter of stalling until he figure out which would be the best one to use.

After all, what good was a genius IQ if he couldn't use it when he was lying.
