i always feel so bad when i try to kill a bug and only half kill it. then you have to smash it a couple more times, and that's when i feel like a murderer. i could never be a buddist.
I hate dealing with bugs at all I kept catching them in our old place. always catching things I was allergic to. Knowing that if I let it go, and it stings me in the process, I am all done. My poor chaosmagicboy kept coming home to find all these containers filled with unwlecome guests.
i feel that as long as they stay in their territory (outside) i have no problem. they're still icky and i avoid them at all costs, spiders especially, but as soon as they get in my domain, especially ON me....sorry dude, you're dead.
yipe. although i've gone to some extent to not remember, i can never forget and am now reminded (whoa) of a chipmunk i just recently drove by who was half hit - which end i am unsure, but he was still alive and tweaking out, ugh ugh ugh it kills me.
one of the cooler vets at work & i have talked about that before- if you ever hit an animal, be it squirrel, bunny, cat, dog, deer, and you have rendered it paralyzed, dying and in immense pain, do you have the guts to go back and re-run it over to put it out of its misery? cause if you don't, it's all about you, regardless how bad you feel. leaving it to die in agony is the worst fate imaginable, but holy SHIT. to be faced with that? i pray i will never have to be. this vet had to back over a squirrel once, and she still talks about how torturous it was for her, and i mean for HER, she euthanizes pets ALL THE TIME for her job, and it was torturous for her to kill a squirrel. i mean i see why, it's just somewhat surprising. it would haunt me
