I cannot do justice to last evening/early morning, but I will start by saying that I cannot fathom how I would ever end up having 6-8 people slam dancing in my living room at 2am. Especially when the party was a surprise ( Read more... )

wi_c & jujupees are extremely good hosts and have a great house for it. I realized at around midnight that it was one of those soul enemas that I need every once in awhile.

I'm sore and content. Just got back from d & m's where we shot pistola, ak-47, shotguns, et al, and ate mixed grill (chicken feta spinach sausage & ribeyes).

For the record, I did not instigate tackling. I got liberally abused by vern and had to brutalize him in return. Then the ladies joined in, so I had to check myself. But it was 4 against 1. I held my own, as was necessary. All of this precipitated by my possession of a flounder squirt gun.

Twas fun.

Wow--sounds like a good weekend. I got to buy shellac on my Sunday.

As for the tackling, I only saw it when you were at the point triumphant, rather than the beginning. Oh, but I can see that the flounder squirt gun did get you in trouble.

Pistola:
Where did you get the weapons
Did this satisfy jujupees' gun fetish
Do shotguns really have such a kick that they can dislocate your shoulder
and where were the kids?

The arsenal was brought from far and wide. Pistola was a target shooting number. Jujupees' got it on with that one. What came out of it for me was that three of four swiss misters plus Alan D enjoy skeet and trap, so we're going to get together to do that regularly ( ... )

It's usually cool at chez Staples. I can see you there. Add 2 more kiddles to the mix, too.

Really, though, most of my Fri & Sat nights consist of dozing on the couch at 11!
