Adventure the Fourth: Watch for falling tumbleweeds [Action]

[The village seems so quiet with everyone gone off to the draft to fight for things they didn't believe in. It's quiet enough that Jonathan feels comfortable leaving the house without skirting around the super-intimidating crowds. He'll even take over some of the house responsibilities, like taking Andrew's pet for a walk

[ this all sucks. s-u-c-k-s. sucks. he can't say he wants to be out on the battlefield, but he doesn't want to be here doing nothing.

really... he doesn't like any of it one bit, so he'd thrown himself into chores like a good watcher should. but the chores were soon done... grocery shopping? nah. the shelves were well stocked.

... well, that only left catching up with jonathan and babe. so bff, beware the incoming sulky nerd. ]

['Sup, sulky. He'll just be offering the leash then, since. You know. She's your pig and everything.]

[ Ange is out today for pretty much the same reason. With the draft going on the town is quiet, almost empty, and Ange isn't too fond of crowds either way. So this is the perfect time to explore some more of the place, right?

Instead she finds a guy.. walking a pig. Well, this place just shows her new things every day. She just stares at it for a few moments from a small distance, lifting one eyebrow in curiosity. ]

[But she's a good pig! She's well-behaved and curious without being TOO curious!

But Jonathan will pause at the staring, and give a small wave when it happens for more than a little while. Um, hi?]

[ She won't respond to the wave by actually waving back or whatever - Ange is too antisocial for that. She'll start talking now they've acknowledged each other though. ]

Is that your pet? I didn't know people kept pets or anything of the sort here.

She belongs to my friend, actually. Her name's Babe. [It's okay! She's initiated the difficult part of the conversation, and that makes everything worthwhile.]

[As far as Kay was concerned, they weren't really crowds before--this entire place is one hell of a slow-down from home--but with so many people gone, it's starting to feel like an especially desolate locale out of Lovecraft. She doesn't mind it especially, though it does make her walks a little quieter...but look, a boy with a pig on a leash. They certainly aren't boring.]

Is your pig friendly? I haven't seen one like that since I was a little girl. [Or any pigs, really, but the point stands.]

[...omg. Here he is, minding his own business, when Luceti goes and decides to be amazing all over again. Jonathan shifts until he's standing at attention, and therefore not indirectly insulting someone of her obvious rank.]

[Well, if it's a friendly pig, she'll lean down and scratch it behind the ears for a moment. Who ever thought of putting a pig on a leash? But it seems to like--wait.

She looks back up at the kid, raising an eyebrow.]

[He's not a kid! He's a manchild, thankyousomuch. But he's a manchild in the presence of starfleet royalty, so he does his duty and attempts to remain civil and professional.]

[The sudden disappearance of so many people doesn't really bother Goku. When he had heard there was some sort of draft going on and that people were going to fight some bad guys, he had been excited, but when he found out that he couldn't go, he stopped paying attention to the whole thing.

For now, he's just flying around town when he sees a sight so unusual, he has to stop and stare. Admittedly, he stopped while hovering about ten feet above the ground, but still.]

Why is that pig on a leash?

[oh. man. Jonathan stares. He might even be gaping.

It's Goku.

It's freaking Goku. There are no words for this moment.]

I. uh. Because I'm taking her for a walk. [OMGIT'SGOKU.]

I figured he'd have that sort of effect on people.

[Goku slowly floats downward before landing next to Jonathan. He doesn't really notice the staring, but he's never been good with noticing that sort of thing.] And you got her to go with you? Wow! Oolong always complained whenever anybody tried to get him to do anything! [Though, admittedly, it was usually something like "climb that cliff", "act as a decoy", or "go stop that emperor from taking over the world".]

Oolong complained about anything that didn't involve stealing panties, though. [Oh wait that probably should have stayed in his head.] I MEAN. Not like I'd know what you were talking about or anything,
