This is a first for Miranda, at least such as this and she is trying to not let it show. Ferdinand had been lovely and good, but theirs had been a hurried afair, never far from the prying eyes of her mother. Gwaine had been charming when she had met him, during that strange night and she could not have refused him even if she had wanted to.

Tucking a loose bit of hair behind her ear, smoothing out her dress before entering the clearing in front of the Compound. Walking towards him, she smiles and puts on a brave face to hide her nerves. "Hello, I do hope that I have not kept thee waiting."

He's on his feet in a practical instant, flipping back his hair and sliding a hand through it to best present his many attractive physical aspects for her -- after all, he's not dim when it comes to what he has to offer. He knows that he's something of a catch -- even if a bit smelly. "Life's all about enjoying every moment," he insists, offering out the remaining flowers to her. "And for someone as beautiful as you, I'm willing to wait twice as long."

The gesture strikes her as oddly preening. Miranda often wonders if there are more similarities between man and beast than either would care to admit to. If she had been at home, she'd have consulted Ariel on this matter or asked her mother. But neither are here for her to seek answers from.

She blushes faintly, staring up at him as she shakes her head. "I do agree with such a think, though I should not have kept thee waiting. There is much to be said for manners."

"I was raised into a house of manners, but then I learned very quickly to cast them aside in order to have more fun," he confesses, lifting her palm to his lips in order to press a slow kiss to each of her knuckles. "There was no fun in being a Knight when all that was asked was service and nothing more."
