What a beautiful ending to this little set of stories. I really like the way you write these two. And seeing Jack with a purpose in life is really nice.

Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you very muchly. It's funny you mention Jack having a purpose in life; when I wrote the stories I was primarily focused on James' sense of purpose, but now that you mention it, I guess it is pretty unusual to see Jack with one. Huh. Cool. You're welcome, and thank you for pointing that out and making me look at my own story from a different angle I hadn't thought of before. ^_^

I love the 'missing scene' in which Jack asks James to run away with him when they're heading back to Port Royal. And the moment when Amina says they are adorable together. She's such a fangirl. :-D

Many thanks! Those of two of my favorite bits, as well. I'm glad you like them.

Really, really lovely!

I really liked Amina's flashback to her childhood, how James told the children of his past life and the people he knew (concealed as campfire stories), it's so great, because it's all there, but of course it's too fantastic to believe.

And then how Jack tells her what he thought about James and that missing scene, oh yes, so great! I'm fond of the "You're adorable"-line, too! Because they are! And it's a beautiful moment, James listening and likely turning all warm and fuzzy inside. *g*

What I also liked, is that Amina acts quite realistically - she believes them because she sees that wound heal like it's but a minor scratch, and not just because they tell her or she wants to believe it.

Really lovely ending, too. This series is probably finished, then? It would be a good way to stop, but there also could be more (I wouldn't say no to that!). Anyway, I'm looking forward to whatever you post in the near future!

Thanks very much, darling.

I'm glad you liked it, and Amina, and James' part in her childhood, as well as the moments of adorable-ness.

This is the planned end of this series. It feels like an ending, to me, and is elegant enough for me to not want to corrupt it with add-ons or further epilogue. Once again, I've no idea what the future holds for me, but so long as it's in this fandom, I'll be keeping everyone up to date.

I love that you've continued this series, and (of course) hope it's not the end.

I love the idea of the two of them working together, for such a noble purpose. What a team! They would be unstoppable at anything they set out to do.

I love how Jack is so concerned, that once they're alone, he needs to examine James and just make sure he's really okay - even though they're both immortal. And James is the same with him. That's just how they would be. *melts*

A moment later, Jack shivered as he felt a breath on the side of his neck, followed by a soft kiss as James' hands caressed down his arms. He could feel the warmth of James’ body behind him as the ex-commodore quietly rumbled, "I love you, too, Jack."*melts further ( ... )

Well, this is the last story I have planned for this series, and it's definitively the ending, but plot bunnies are always unpredictable. Y'never know when a vignette might pop up.

I enjoy the idea of their teamwork and the shared concern for each other; they're so terribly cool to write when they're working in tandem. I'm happy to provide melty moments. ^_^

The flashback to the CotBP was terribly fun to write, too. Glad you enjoyed it, too. As well as Amina.

You're more than welcome, and thank you for your help on it.
