so how 'bout some wacky cylon AUs notbeingthere May 15 2011, 04:09:30 UTC
Hunter sits alone. It's late, late enough that most are probably tucked into their beds sound asleep by now. And he knows he should be, too--or he feels that he wants to but can't. Or maybe it's just that his mind's working too hard. Is feeling tired programmed into him? Or is that purely psychological? Does he need to sleep at all? Could he just sit here forever?

And that's all assuming he isn't human, which he can't say he's entirely convinced of. So maybe he'll go to bed. Just because it's human. But only after he's done drinking the sweet substitute-for-coffee (TJ said the plant has something similar to caffeine in it, so maybe it was good enough) and mulling over his life as he knows it.

It's not strange for Rush to be out so late, his sleep schedule usually completely non-existent. He had been working on equations in his hallway, scribbling complex lines of numbers onto the cool metal with his chalk when he felt restless and somewhat hungry, realizing that he hadn't eaten in a few hours and probably should or the colonel would want to have a few words with him.

Making his way to go get something to eat, Rush spotted someone he wasn't expecting to be up this late. Well, he could always get something to eat after he spoke to Sergeant Riley.

"I would have thought you'd be asleep by now. What has you up so late, Sergeant?"

"My biology," Riley replied dryly without missing a beat. "Or maybe my lack thereof." Not that it was Rush's business, so he didn't elaborate.

"I see," he says evenly as he folds his arms. Riley's had it the worst out of all of them and Rush has tried his best to help Riley through it, though that hasn't exactly worked. Rush has accepted he's not human and Riley...well, Riley has damaged all of his spare bodies. And the ship is repairing them, though Rush won't tell Riley that. "It's still difficult for you."

Dunno all your chars so here's an OOC post; let's figure something out youre_gonnaburn May 15 2011, 06:03:30 UTC
[OOC: So this is Dylan. If you're familiar with the anime 'Escaflowne,' he's the character Dilandau AUed into a modern Earth teenager.

If you don't know the canon, but even if you do for more clarification - in canon, Dilandau is this batshit insane young soldier. Being AU, Dylan is an army brat and studies martial arts, and he's not insane - emotionally scarred, more than a little weird and kind of a dick, yes, but not certifiable the way canon Dilandau is.

So. Any thotz?]

The term 'greasy spoon' just about did this place justice. The vinyl seating, the stools at the counter with pastries piled under plastic domes, the 24-hour hours, the never-ending coffee and the waitstaff that called everybody "honey." The food was even decent enough to merit return trips ( ... )

Malachi was getting a headache. This wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for him these days. A side effect of being a clone that needed to be controlled, he knew, but the fact that he was on a ship with over eighty people on board made his main headache relieving activity a bit difficult. He had a hypospray of medication to relieve it for a short while though and used it now, not wanting to bother anybody. Sitting back, he closed his eyes and waited for the medicine to get rid of his headache.

Dealing with Malachi on the ship had been something he thought he had planned for. Instead, nothing had been quite the same since. Which, of course, is what happens when you let your younger, sex-needing, superspy clone that your creepy stalker ex-boyfriend/ex-boss made for his own pleasure stay on your ship because you can't let him stay with said ex anymore.

Still, somehow Malcolm thought this would be easier.

"Headache?" he asked with a hint of worry in his voice. "Or something else?"

"Headache, but I'm taking care of it," Malachi answers and shows him the used hypospray. It's incredibly strong stuff, something Malachi shouldn't be using so lightly, but he'd use anything that would allow him to get back to work and interrupt anybody else's schedule. "I thought you were working still."

"You disappeared, so I took it upon myself to find you. Make sure you weren't getting up to no good, the like."
