Well I now have my first rotation project assigned, I was meant to start tomorrow for one day before the retreat on Friday but I have been told not to bother coming in until Monday, just to read. My life is very boring at the moment-it seems to revolve around Greggs despite the fact that I'm not working that many hours. I'm actually enjoying the work to a worrying degree, thus far it is not making me desperate to start my PhD. So I have now been back in lovely sunny Edinburgh for over a week. I haven't been doing much apart from searching for a job and house work. The job search seems to be pretty fruitless. All agencies in Edinburgh seem to require previous office experience which I don't have and the shop jobs/fringe jobs I have applied to haven't got back to me ( Read more... )

Today Sarah and I did something daft in a desperate attempt to forget the exams. We decided that it would be a good day to go to the pool on Jesus Green. Not only is the pool stupidly long it was also absolutely freezing. I think that some of the times I have frozen my ass off inside a drysuit at Guildy the water was warmer than it was today.
